About Josephine
Josephine Edwards, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Luxe Wellness and Aesthetics of Galveston County.
She was born and raised in Galveston, Texas as the youngest of six children. She’s a proud mother of three amazing children and the bonus mother to two beautiful young ladies.
Josephine received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2010 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2020.
She has over 20 years of healthcare experience throughout her career as a Research Assistant and later as a Registered Nurse. Her specialties extend in research with the Department of Surgery, bedside and clinical in Pediatrics, OB-GYN, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Care Management.
Josephine has devoted her life to helping others. Even as a child, she would care for the neighborhood’s sick animals; this led to the love of medicine. As the years passed, she transitioned in to the primary caregiver for her parents and other family members.
For over a decade, Josephine has given back to her community by outreaching the youth and domestic violence victims through The Open Hands Foundation (Founder – Texas) and The Mike Evans Family Foundation (Board Member – Florida).
